A fabulous pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 19th Century featuring a tangled love knot in the centre, with wire hooks at the top and an icicle shaped dropper below, chased with striped patterning.
A love knot was a popular motif in the Victorian era and symbolised the loving bond between two people that is unbreakable and forever entwined.
The pair are fashioned in a bright 15ct yellow gold which has developed a lovely patina with age. They will look wonderful dangling from each ear and would make the perfect gift for a loved one.
