Product Details
This Victorian mourning ring is an exquisite antique Navette ring from the mid-Victorian era crowned with a wonderful navette-shaped moonstone with a ghostly, blue glow. The Victorian mourning ring’s moonstone weighs approx. 2.20ct and is framed in a border of twenty-four old mine-cut diamonds totalling approx. 1ct.
The face of this Victorian mourning ring is modelled in 18ct gold and features a concealed locket on the reverse with plaited hair preserved behind a glass window. The Victorian mourning ring was most likely kept in remembrance of a loved one so that a piece of them was always kept close to the wearer.
The Victorian mourning ring was clearly very dear to its original owner and has been kept in pristine condition.
We recommend you insure the Victorian mourning ring for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
