Product Details
A classy antique Victorian dropper necklace from the late 19th Century adorned with a fringe of sixteen glowing cabochon moonstones emitting a bright, blue schiller that intensifies with the light. They graduate in size from approx. 1 to 2ct, making a grand total of approx. 20ct.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The chain is made up of entwined 15ct gold eternity links and is fitted with a tube box clasp at the end. It’s in excellent condition and would be perfect worn to a glamorous occasion.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
