Details
An enchanting antique Victorian moonstone necklace, adorned with a delicate fringe of glowing cabochon moonstone droppers that shimmer with a soft, ethereal blue glow. Each stone dangles from a fine silver cable chain, richly gilded in 18ct yellow gold, and held with a large spring-ring clasp, added later for extra security.
Moonstone has long been admired for its otherworldly glow, once thought to be moonlight captured in solid form. In Greek mythology, it was linked to Selene, the Goddess of the moon, and was believed to bring love, wisdom, and new beginnings to its wearer.
Dating to the late 19th century, this elegant Victorian moonstone necklace remains in excellent condition, its dreamy collection of moonstones draping gracefully around the neck, casting a mystical radiance both in day and moonlight.
