Product Details
A magnificent antique Victorian opal diamond bracelet, featuring a fabulous, open-work gallery decorated with twinkling old mine cut diamonds (approx. 0.70ct) and a natural cabochon opal claw set in the centre. The opal weighs approx. 1ct and glitters with an array of blue, green and purple specks, illuminated by a warm orange glow around the sides.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck and passion. It has been revered throughout history for its enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet Earth or the Aurora Borealis.
The articulated gallery is fashioned in sterling silver, edged with milgrain and backed in yellow gold. It joins a lovely 15ct gold gate link chain at the back, held by a box clasp and safety chain.
This is a beautiful Victorian bracelet, from the late 19th Century. It’s all in excellent condition and displays exceptional workmanship and a gorgeous collection of natural gems across the front.
We recommend you insure for £4,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
WEIGHT: 12.1 grams
MEASURES: Length 6.5 inches x Width 13mm at the front, 3mm at the back
