A cheerful antique mid-Victorian lucky horseshoe brooch fashioned in 15ct gold and lined with twinkling rose cut diamonds and eleven natural opal cabochons that graduate in size around the piece (approx. 3.1ct total).

Opals have been valued throughout history as a magical, protective talisman of great power and it’s easy to see why. Ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis and are illuminated by a burning orange sunset from behind. 

The brooch is in excellent condition and the opals are exceptionally beautiful and mesmerising. It would make a fabulous gift for a loved one, bringing luck and good fortune to all who look upon it.
