This beautiful 9ct Gold Opal and Emerald necklace is Circa 1900.
The wonderful necklace is adorned with an Opal which is just under 0.25ct with two other small Emeralds either side which are both 0.10ct each.
This Leads to a large Opal dropper with Emeralds that surrounds it, they both compliment each other superbly.
Opals are a kaleidoscope of rainbow colours shimmering and changing colours with the light. Opals Radiate a myriad of colours such as blues, pinks, greens, turquoise and an inner orange.
Emerald derives its beautiful green colour from the presence of chromium and vanadium. The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love.
The chain is set in 9ct Gold.
This is a beautiful necklace that looks fabulous when worn.
