These fabulous 18ct Yellow Gold and Silver Paste earrings are stunning.
Circa 1900
Set on 18ct Yellow Gold wires leading to a lovely display of Paste stones.
Each large bottom stone is 4ct in size.
The bottom purple Paste stones are the colour of Amethyst.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
Steeped in history.
These earrings look fabulous when worn, they are such a statement piece!
They weigh 8.8 grams
They measure 33mm in length x 12mm across
The Purple Paste stone measures 11mm across x 11mm down
The top white Paste stone measures 5mm across x 5mm down
