This beautiful Butterfly Brooch boasts beautiful coloured Paste Stones all set in Sterling Silver.
A stunning Victorian piece, circa 1900.
Sparkling old cut Paste Stones adorn the Butterflies wings and chase up the body with a deep emerald Paste in the centre.
Old Cut Paste Stones sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass Pastes.
Set in Sterling Silver and hallmarked with the old 900 stamp on the reverse.
Complete with original pin and C catch.
A Genuine Victorian piece with beautiful workmanship throughout.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
