Details
These exquisite antique Victorian pearl drop earrings are crafted in warm 18ct yellow gold and feature a beautifully articulated buckle strap design. A vertical line of lustrous natural seed pearls runs gracefully down the centre, each delicately secured within crimped collets, while a graceful gold sphere drop completes the composition.
This richly textured design echoes the celebrated Etruscan Revival style popular during the mid-Victorian period, with the buckle motif symbolising fidelity, strength, and an unbreakable bond. Such earrings would have made a deeply sentimental gift, perhaps from husband to wife, with the line of bright, hopeful seed pearls symbolising the ever-growing years shared together.
Designed with ingenious back-to-front hooks for comfort and security, these distinctive Victorian earrings dangle elegantly from the ear. Now, more than 150 years later, they remain in excellent condition, ready to continue their enduring story of romance.
