Product Details
A gorgeous antique Art Nouveau peridot pearl lavaliere necklace, fashioned in 9ct yellow gold. The large, open-work pendant consists of leaves, scrolling motifs and three droppers, all decorated with bright white seed pearls and eleven green peridots, a mixture of round, oval and pear cut, set in milgrain, bezel frames.
Peridot is the birthstone of August and nicknamed the “evening emerald”. They’re considered a gem of the sun and a gift from mother nature with their natural lime-green colouring and inner light evoking the beauty of a sunny summer’s day, bringing joy and serenity to all who look upon it.
This is a splendid and expertly made Victorian necklace. It’s all in excellent condition and the green, white and gold hues evoke the beauty of summertime, or a meadow of green grass and white daises. It dates to Circa 1900 and hangs from a fine 9ct gold chain and ring clasp.
We recommend you insure for £1,850. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
