These fabulous antique 18ct Gold Victorian ‘Regard’ earrings are Circa 1900.
The gemstones in the gallery spell out the word ‘Regard’ with each first letter - Ruby - Emerald - Garnet - Amethyst - Ruby - Diamond.
The word ‘REGARD’ forms part of the phrase ‘With my Regards’ or ‘I highly regard you’ meaning that your loved one holds you very close to their heart.
The Ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem of the universe, given as a gift, the Ruby is a symbol of friendship, love and loyalty.
The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love and has long been the symbol of hope.
The earrings are all set in fancy 18ct Yellow Gold galleries and fitted with Gold shepherd hook wires.
