A beautiful antique Victorian love knot bangle, crowned with a deep-pink cushion cut ruby in the centre, weighing approx. 0.10ct. The sleek band is modelled in 18ct yellow gold and coils beautifully around the ruby at the front, forming a love knot.
A love knot has long been a symbol of love, loyalty and friendship as it represents an eternal bond that is unbreakable and forever entwined. Rubies are also associated with the heart due to their fiery pink/ red colouring which is symbolic of passion and eternal love.
This is a wonderful Victorian bangle, dating to the late 19th Century. It has developed a lovely smoothness and patina over time and is held by a box clasp at the side.
