A wonderful antique Victorian saphiret brooch depicting a beautiful hand fan set with seven enchanting teardrop saphiret’s across the top that exhibit a magical neon blue light that shimmers across the surface. It’s fashioned in base metal and features ornate engraving and two more saphiret beads dangling from two long chains at the bottom.
Saphiret is a wondrous and mysterious creation, formed from a fusion of sapphire-coloured glass and gold. At first glance, its surface presents a deep chocolate brown, but when light grazes its facets, a mesmerising play of electric blue iridescence emerges, dancing across the stone with ethereal beauty.
Dating to the late 19th Century, this exquisite antique saphiret fan brooch is a highly collectable piece of Victorian heritage that has remained in excellent condition. It would look fabulous adorning your lapel, bag or scarf.
