A beautiful antique Scottish agate brooch from the late Victorian era made up of six polished agates displaying earthy colours and patterned bands which are naturally formed, earning them the appropriate nickname “The Earth Rainbow”.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.
It’s modelled in solid silver and features engraved detailing around the outer frame. It’s in excellent condition and a great collector’s piece.
