A wonderful pair of antique Victorian Scottish earrings featuring an engraved crown overlaid on a St Andrews Saltire cross. Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain. The earrings are inlaid with polished Agates set in Silver and fitted with long shepherd hook wires. They look fabulous dangling from the ear and are steeped in history.
