A unique Antique Victorian Scottish brooch modelled in solid Silver, depicting a wonderful paint palette decorated with Golden flowers and brushes threaded through the middle.
Four sections of Scottish Agate have been set in the palette rather creatively to form different paint spots of various colours.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
It is very sweet piece and would make a wonderful gift for an Artist.
