Details
This exquisite antique Victorian shamrock pendant is a fabulous survivor from the late 19th century (c. 1880–1900) crafted in rich 9ct yellow gold. The design centres on a magnificent bombé dome of vivid, pavé-set turquoise with a calming sky-blue hue and is encircled by a halo of delicate white enamel shamrocks and additional turquoise.
In the Victorian "Language of Flowers," every element tells a story. The Shamrock was the ultimate symbol of Good Luck and prosperity, while turquoise represented "Forget-Me-Not" and was believed to protect the wearer from harm. The piece would have likely been a cherished gift to a sweetheart or a "safe travels" charm for a beloved wife.
It’s rare to find genuine Victorian jewellery in such excellent condition and this is a fabulous turquoise pendant for collectors or a deeply meaningful gift for a loved one, allowing them to bring luck and beauty with them wherever they go.
