These beautiful Antique Victorian earrings have been commissioned in magnificent Whitby Jet and feature wonderfully executed relief shell cameos.
Whitby Jet was brought to the attention of the world by Queen Victoria who used Whitby Jet as part of her mourning attire. Jet is a type of brown coal, a fossilised wood from an ancient tree which today is highly collectable and sought after worldwide.
A fabulous pair of earrings which are steeped in history. They also come with 9ct Yellow Gold ear wires.
