Product Details
A stunning Art Deco aquamarine lavaliere necklace, bestowed with an outstanding cushion cut aquamarine, accompanied by five twinkling old mine cut diamonds around the edge.
The aqua weighs an impressive 14.5 carats (approx.) and has a clear ocean-blue hue and expertly cut facets that mimic light flickering on a rippling blue pool. The diamonds have SI2 clarity – H colour and total approx. 0.50ct.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The large aqua is set in a platinum claw mount with open workmanship around the sides and features milgrain bezel settings for each diamond. It joins a fine platinum chain at the top, complete with a ring clasp.
This is a magnificent Art deco pendant necklace, exhibiting a truly sensational natural aquamarine that has remained intact and in excellent condition from the 1920s.
We recommend you insure for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
