Details
A fabulous antique Art Deco pearl diamond lavaliere necklace adorned with a distinctive pear-shaped pendant, built around an irregular baroque pearl of the same shape, haloed by twinkling rose cut diamonds. It's fashioned in 18ct yellow/ white gold and joins a fine white gold chain, accented by further diamonds and round pearls, culminating in a geometric fish-hook clasp, featuring scrolled engraving and an Old Euro diamond on top (approx. 1.2ct of diamond total).
Baroque Pearls are a true treasure of the ocean and produced organically by freshwater mussels and saltwater oysters. Unlike their perfectly spherical counterparts, each baroque pearl has a unique, unconventional beauty, with a rugged texture and irregular shape that sets them apart from the rest, making every stone truly one-of-a-kind.
This fascinating Art Deco pearl diamond necklace dates to the early 1900s and has remained in excellent condition. It’s a wonderfully unique design, boasting a wonderful baroque pearl centrepiece, complemented by glistening diamonds.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
