A magnificent antique Art Deco sapphire and diamond cocktail ring, crafted in France during the 1920s. This exceptional piece centres on two old European-cut diamonds in the classic Toi et Moi (“You and Me”) design - a romantic motif symbolising two souls forever united. The pair is framed by a striking halo of calibre-set sapphires and fourteen additional old-cut diamonds, forming a fabulous, scalloped border.
The sapphires total approx. 1.10 carats and display a rich, deep blue hue, providing a vivid contrast to the bright hand-cut diamonds, graded with excellent SI1 clarity - H/I colour. The principal diamonds weigh approx. 0.45ct each, while the surrounding diamonds are 0.15ct each, bringing the total weight to approx. 3.00 carats.
Crafted entirely in white gold, the ring showcases the exceptional workmanship synonymous with the Art Deco era. Fine milgrain detailing, graceful split shoulders, and an intricately pierced under-gallery all reflect the refined geometry and craftsmanship of the period. A French 18ct Eagle hallmark remains faintly visible on the exterior of the band, softened naturally with age but still discernible
A truly outstanding example of 1920s Art Deco design, this cluster ring makes a spectacular statement when worn. It is accompanied by an antique brown leather and cream velvet presentation box by James Walker Ltd of London - not original to the piece, but a fitting home for its safekeeping.
