Details
Dating to circa 1920–1930, these glamorous Art Deco moonstone drop earrings perfectly embody the glamour and geometry of the Art Deco era. Masterfully crafted in rich 18ct yellow gold, the pair features long, articulated drops set with mesmerising, high-domed moonstone cabochons, weighing approx. 4.8 carats each, with a striking openwork kite motif above, providing a bold architectural counterpoint to the soft, ethereal curves of the gemstones.
Each moonstone exhibits a ghostly blue-white "adularescence" that drifts across the surface like moonlight has been captured and contained within. They have long been revered as talismans for travellers and symbols of feminine intuition, new beginnings, and love.
These Art Deco earrings are both in excellent condition and have been sensitively converted over time with new posts for pierced ears, with one butterfly back a later replacement. They dangle beautifully from the ear, moving gracefully with every turn of the head, allowing the celestial glow of the moonstones to catch the light and frame the face with effortless elegance.
