This fabulous Art Deco dress clip depicts a wonderful coiled snake, Circa 1930.
Art Deco represents the style of the decorative arts popular between the two wars. The style was huge in the 1920’s and produced glamorous, colourful jewellery pieces that incapsulated the famously flamboyant period.
The wonderful snake is beautifully engraved and set with sparkling Paste eyes.
Serpent jewellery became popular during the early years of Queen Victoria’s reign coinciding with the full flowering of the Romantic Movement. Serpents represent love, loyalty and friendship, which I think you’ll agree is a lovely combination.
The piece is all set in White Metal and fitted with a large secure clip.
This is a unique collectable piece that looks fabulous when worn!
