An alluring deep-blue emerald cut tanzanite takes centre stage, weighing 3.55 carats and is bezel set in a matching octagonal frame, bordered by bright brilliant cut diamonds, with three larger stones flanking on each side. They have excellent VS1 clarity – H colour and total 0.46 carats.
Incredibly, Tanzanite remained undiscovered until the late 1960s, when a group of Maasai herders stumbled upon the rare form of blue “Zoisite” by chance in the hills of Tanzania. Its rarity and intense indigo-blue colouring quickly became highly sought after across the globe, with its name coined by Tiffany & Co. to highlight its unique origin.
The rings geometric gallery is typical of the Art Deco style and is modelled in 18ct white gold, with milgrain edging, a scrolling open-work under gallery at the back and the verified stone weights stamped within the band.
