Expertly made by the renowned British jeweller “Boodles”, this glamorous black opal diamond pendant necklace is sure to captivate. The spectacular black opal cabochon takes centre stage, radiating dark blue, green and orange embers that burn beneath the surface and intensify with the light. It’s bezel set within a frame of twenty-two sparkling brilliant cut diamonds and is accompanied by a gem certification that verifies the opal is natural, with no signs of treatment and weighs approx. 5.75 carats. The natural diamonds are also documented in the report and have excellent VS/SI clarity – F/G colour, totalling approx. 1.05ct.
Black Opal is the most highly prized of its kind. The darker colouration means that the flashes of colour are much starker and more radiant, with ethereal greens and bright blues flowing within the stone, evoking the beauty of the Milky way or Aurora Borealis against the night sky.
Boodles is celebrated for its luxurious and high-quality fine jewellery. Established in 1798, the brand has built a strong reputation for craftsmanship, innovation, and design, earning them a royal warrant as a supplier of jewellery to the British royal family, further cementing its status as a leading British luxury brand.
The opal pendant is fashioned in a warm 18ct yellow gold and features a scalloped edge and fabulous open-work gallery at the back. It’s complete with its identifying serial number on the back and a “Boodles” stamp on the silky 18ct gold snake chain that accompanies the piece. It’s fitted with a hinged claw clasp at the end and bears London assay hallmarks, dating to 2002.
