Details
A colourful pair of Suffragette-inspired stud earrings adorned with a cluster of white pearls, green peridots and a central violet amethyst, weighing approx. 1.5ct.
Jewellery displaying green, violet, and white was commonly worn to support the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), a leading force in the UK suffrage movement in the early 1900s. The colours symbolised their core virtues: violet for loyalty, white for purity, and green for hope, and sometimes represented the acronym “Give Women Votes!”
The earrings are modelled in silver, gilded in 18ct yellow gold, with butterfly studs at the back. They’re an eye-catching pair, displaying a delightful combination of coloured gems.
