A fancy pair of paste drop earrings converted from an old pair of antique Georgian jewellery. They’re decorated with glistening old-cut paste stones across the front, with larger emerald-cut green pastes swinging from the bottom. Together the stones resemble diamonds and emeralds and have been expertly cut and foil-backed to simulate their natural beauty and sparkle.

Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection. 

The galleries are fashioned in silver with a fabulous, scrolling mid-section and 18ct gold hook wires at the top. They look spectacular dangling from each ear and are both in excellent condition.
