A wonderful Georgian style Memento Mori ring depicting a coiled snake biting its tail which has long been a symbol of eternal Love. A glistening Silver Skull also sits between the head and tail and is encrusted with twinkling Rose cut Diamonds (approx. 0.50ct total).
Memento mori is Latin for ‘Remember that you have to die’. This style of jewellery was popular in the 18th and 19th Century and was decorated with skulls, crossbones and coffins which seem macabre today but these pieces were a reminder to cherish each waking day.
The band is all 15ct Yellow Gold with beautiful engraved scales. It looks wonderful wrapped around the finger and a great talking piece.
