This ingenious ring has been crafted in the Memento Mori style. 18ct gold has been skilfully worked into a sturdy clasped locket, with beautiful engravings wrapped around the ring’s shoulders.
Within the locket is a hidden skull with sparkling old mine cut diamonds eyes. Such macabre imagery was common in Memento Mori jewellery, which literally translates as “Remember you will die”. The morbid themes were not a celebration of death, rather a reminder to live your life well.
It’s a wonderful statement piece with a good weight and a little surprise within.
