Details
A pretty pair of paste solitaire earrings converted from an old Georgian collar. The large pastes have been expertly cut with a high-table and neat facets that sparkle beautifully in the light, simulating 5ct diamonds.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that has been used since ancient times to simulate the beauty of gemstones. The art of cutting paste takes expert craftsmanship and the highest quality stones are often able to replicate the cut, colour and sparkle of natural gems to near perfection.
They’re a beautiful Georgian inspired pair and the settings are fashioned in silver and backed in 18ct gold with new gold hooks added to the top.
