A fabulous, winged insect ring made in the Victorian/ Art Nouveau style with three salmon pink coral cabochons making up the body and twinkling zirconia eyes at the top.
Coral is made naturally in the depths of the ocean by tiny marine invertebrate known as polyp. They were believed to bring peace and protection, exhibiting fiery shades of pink, orange and red, making them a colourful alternative to other ocean treasures such as pearls.
The piece is all silver, gilded in 18ct yellow gold and the band has a subtle twist that curves gently toward the insect at the front. It’s very striking and the opals are truly mesmerising.
