Details
This spectacular 9ct Yellow Gold ring showcases a wonderful hand painted enamel skeleton in the centre protected behind a glass window.
The Antique gallery and mount have been preserved from the late Victorian era (Circa 1880) and the Skeleton plaque has been added more recently to represent the Memento Mori style.
Memento mori is Latin for ‘Remember that you have to die’. This style of jewellery was popular in the 18th and 19th Century and was decorated with skulls, crossbones and coffins which seem macabre today but these pieces were a reminder to cherish each waking day.
It's a highly unique statement piece and would suit either sex.
