This pretty vintage heart pendant necklace showcases a gorgeous heart-cut amethyst claw set in the centre with scrolling, foliate motifs around the border. The amethyst weighs approx. 15 carats and exhibits a soft violet hue that complements the 9ct yellow gold frame beautifully.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
It’s a fabulous pendant and features Birmingham hallmarks on the back, dating to 1975 and a spiralling 9ct gold Singapore chain to display it on.
