A glorious vintage amethyst pendant, bestowed with a large round amethyst on top, claw set in a round 14ct gold frame with open, scrolling motifs around the sides. The amethyst weighs an impressive 20 carats (approx.) and exhibits a luxurious deep-violet hue and expertly cut facets that glitter beautifully in the light.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep purple/ violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
