A magnificent cocktail ring boasting a gorgeous step cut aquamarine weighing an impressive 17 carats (approx.) The stone has a desirable sea green/ blue hue with neat, linear facets that flicker beautifully when they catch the light.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The stone is held in a robust 18ct gold mount with leaf shaped shoulders dotted with twelve single cut diamonds (approx. 0.20ct total). It’s a spectacular statement piece and is complete with hallmarks within the band, indicating it was made in Birmingham in 1991.
