An adorable vintage dog brooch, made in London in 1964. The piece depicts a rather cartoonish Yorkshire Terrier, with detailed hair engraving, bushy tail and curly whiskers. He’s expertly crafted in 18ct yellow gold and bejewelled with blue sapphire eyes (approx. 0.10ct each) and a glittering collar and jacket, set with bright brilliant cut diamonds (approx. 1.2ct total).
This is a delightful vintage novelty brooch, perfect for anyone who adores this good-natured breed and is complete with a pin and locking catch on the back, along with London hallmarks and the maker’s mark.
