Details
This breath-taking vintage fire opal cluster ring is modelled in luminous 18ct white gold with hidden yellow gold claws for the centrepiece. The natural fire opal weighs approx. 2.5 carats, it’s vibrant, cherry-orange hue contrasted against a “Lady Di” inspired halo of sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds, with excellent H colour, SI1 clarity (approx. 0.96ct total).
The fire opal is unlike any other variety of opal, distinct for its semi-transparent appearance and flaming volcanic warmth that has for centuries symbolised passion, energy, and the creative spirit. Most originate from Mexico and were worshipped by the ancient Aztecs who believed the stone was so beautiful it could have only been made in paradise.
This fiery cocktail ring would make a unique cluster engagement ring for the woman who commands the room. To truly do it justice, wear it as a right-hand signature piece paired with a sleek black evening gown, allowing its bright orange fire to take centre stage and draw the eye of everyone in its vicinity.
