A delightful vintage French rabbit brooch depicted standing upright, with a large pyramid-shaped turquoise cabochon set as the body, with sky-blue colouring and natural matrix patterning. He has an adorable, cartoonish design, modelled in 18ct yellow gold, with detailed hair engraving and is further decorated with a turquoise nose and a platinum eye, set with two diamonds and a blue sapphire.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December and is considered a stone of luck and good fortune. It has been beloved throughout history for its opacity and calming blue/ green hues that reflect the sky and ocean, bringing about clarity, calm and happiness to those who possess it.
This is wonderful and highly collectable vintage novelty brooch, made up of beautiful gemstones, complete with French hallmarks on the back, along with a double pin and locking trombone catch.
