Product Details
A fabulous vintage pendant from the 1970s built around a mammoth cabochon garnet weighing an impressive 15 carats (approx.) The cabochon is polished and smooth with a dark surface that glows cherry-pink when it catches the light. It’s haloed by twenty sparkling brilliant cut diamonds around the border that have excellent VS1 clarity – H colour (approx. 1ct total).
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s long been considered a stone of the heart and symbolic of passion and enduring love.
The cabochon is claw set in an 18ct gold frame with an open back. It would look perfect on the end of a gold chain and is complete with London hallmarks on the back, dating it to 1976.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
