A magnificent vintage Giardinetti pendant/ brooch, depicting a large vase of flowers, bejewelled with a rainbow of cabochon gemstones, including red garnets, purple amethysts, green peridots, golden citrines and blue topaz, with glittering diamonds also adorning the vase and leaves (approx. 1.3ct total).

Giardinetti is Italian for “Little Gardens”. The style originated in Italy and became a popular love token across Europe in the 18th and 19th Century, usually depicting a fabulous basket, or vase of flowers, decorated with a colourful assortment of gems to enhance their beauty and value.

This is a fabulous vintage statement piece, crafted expertly in 18ct yellow gold and fitted with a pin at the back, secured with a locking trombone catch, as well as a loop so it can be worn as a pendant or a brooch depending on the occasion.
