A spellbinding vintage moonstone cocktail ring, built around an enchanting cabochon moonstone, weighing approx. 20 carats. The glossy, natural moonstone is reminiscent of a crystal ball and exhibits a ghostly inner light beneath its waxy surface, that shimmers as a blue band across the curvature of the stone.
The enchanting Moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and were said to guide you on the path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The large cabochon bulges from a 14ct gold bezel mount, with detailed rope edging coiling around the outside, leading into a thick band at the back. It’s a magnificent vintage statement ring, with an outstanding natural moonstone crowned on top that is truly magical.
