A marvellous vintage moonstone cluster ring exhibiting a semi-transparent moonstone cabochon at its heart (approx. 3.75ct), displaying a magical blue aura that shimmers across the surface. It’s framed by an alternating pattern of blue sapphires and twinkling brilliant cut diamonds around the outside, approx. 0.60ct of each.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The stones are claw-set in a fabulous 18ct white gold gallery with an open, basket under-gallery beneath that elevates the stones atop the finger. It’s a spectacular statement piece showcasing a wonderful collection of twilight gems.
