Details
This magnificent opal diamond pendant is fashioned in sterling silver and 14ct gold and features an open-work gallery consisting of graceful, scrolling motifs, replicating the artistry of 19th Century Art Nouveau pieces. It’s claw set with a spellbinding natural opal cabochon at its heart, with a second teardrop-shaped cabochon dangling from a dropper below. They weigh approx. 11 and 15 carats and exhibit intense green, blue, and orange flashes that shimmer beneath a watery surface, like a liquid rainbow. They’re surrounded by twinkling rose cut diamonds (approx. 0.45ct total), with a bright pink cabochon ruby also set atop the dropper.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. Its enchanting spectrum of fiery colours contrasts beautifully with the brightness of diamonds, creating a captivating display reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis dancing across a starry sky.
A truly enchanting opal diamond pendant, showcasing two of the finest natural opals we’ve ever seen! It’s accompanied by an old pendant box with a brown leatherette exterior and black velvet interior, with the maker’s insignia “E.T. Biggs & Sons” printed on cream silk under the lid. It’s not original but a great place to store this treasure!
