Details
An exquisite vintage opal trilogy ring, crafted in warm 9ct yellow gold and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1958. The piece is made in the Victorian-revival style and boasts a trio of natural opal cabochons (approx. 0.80ct total), raised in classic coronet claw settings that lift them high to catch the light.
Opals have long been celebrated as the "Queen of Gems," famed for their ability to contain all the colours of the rainbow in one stone. These gems showcase a mesmerising play-of-colour, flashing spectral greens, blues, and hints of sunset orange. Historically associated with luck, creativity and passion, opals were a favourite of Queen Elizabeth II in the 1950s, making them a highly fashionable choice for the era's most romantic gifts.
This vintage opal trilogy ring is in excellent condition and would make an enchanting treat for yourself, or a beautiful gift for a loved one, with the trilogy of electric natural opals representing the past, present, and future of a relationship.
