This magnificent vintage Scottish Agate brooch was made in the Victorian style.
The brooch boasts a mixture of large Agate stones such as the deep orange Carnelian, striped banded Agate and the unique Moss Agate.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
Moss Agates are a symbol of new beginnings and growth. They’re unique for their patterned green veins embedded under the stones clear surface which resemble a natural green moss.
Carnelian stones were once known as ‘The Setting Sun’ by ancient Egyptians due to the stones deep orange colouring. The stone has been worn throughout history as a symbol of leadership, providing the wearer with the courage needed in life.
Each stone is unique with beautiful natural patterening and polished to perfection.
The brooch is Silver set and fitted with a sturdy pin and safety catch.
