This wonderful Vintage bangle depicts a fabulous coiled serpent with intricate engraved patterning across the head and tail and set with red Ruby eyes.
Serpent jewellery became popular in the Victorian era and symbolized a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship with their coiled shape representing an infinite, everlasting bond.
The bangles elasticated design expands to fit the wrist comfortably and is very smooth on the skin. It is fashioned in 9ct rolled Yellow Gold on a Steel spring.
The piece was made by Smith & Pepper and features their initials on the back of the head along with Birmingham hallmarks which date the piece to 1972.
