Product Details
A stunning navette cluster ring built around a magnificent marquise cut tanzanite with an intense, deep blue hue with flashes of violet. It’s complete with a valuation which states the stone is an estimated AAA grade with eye clean clarity and weighs approx. 5.53ct.
The principal stone is framed by sixteen bright brilliant cut diamonds around the border which are also detailed in the report and weigh approx. 0.10 – 0.12ct (1.83ct total) and have excellent VS/ SI clarity – G/H colour.
Unlike other popular gemstones, Tanzanite was not discovered until the late 1960s when a group of Maasai herders stumbled upon the blue stones by chance in the hills of Tanzania. They were first believed to be sapphires but later identified as a variety of blue “zoisite” and the first of its kind. Its rarity and intense indigo-blue colouring have made it the most celebrated gem of the 20th century and is highly sought after today.
The stones are mounted securely in an 18ct white gold basket setting and joins a sleek band at the back complete with Birmingham and maker’s marks. A breath-taking statement piece with a rare collection of gems that look spectacular pointing down the length of the finger.
The piece is accompanied by recent valuation documentation and valued at £13,250. It’s printed with the original buyer’s details so we can also provide a separate Valuation upon request.
