Product Details
A glamorous 1920s Art deco brooch adorned with a large step cut amethyst in the centre, weighing approx. 3.8ct. It has a deep, regal purple hue and is framed by bright old cut diamonds that also chase around the navette gallery and form a trilogy of leaves on each side (approx. 1.25ct total).
Amethyst is the birthstone of February. It’s considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity and has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and deep purple colouring which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece has a wonderful, open-work design and is fashioned in 18ct gold with milgrain edging. It’s fitted with a secure pin and locking clasp on the reverse and would make the perfect addition to a lapel.
We recommend you insure for £2,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
