Details
Crowned with a magical natural black opal, this cosmic antique Art Deco opal diamond ring is sure to enchant. Weighing approx. 1.5 carats, the natural black opal cabochon exhibits bands of dark blue, purple and black, with glittering neon green and orange flashes. It’s complemented by a trio of twinkling single cut diamonds on blocky shoulder accents on either side, totalling approx. 0.06ct.
Black Opal is the most highly prized of its kind. The darker colouration means that the flashes of colour are much starker and more radiant, with ethereal greens and bright blues flowing within the stone, evoking the beauty of a cosmic landscape, like the Milky way or Aurora Borealis dancing against the night sky.
Modelled in platinum and 18ct white gold, this sleek Art Deco era opal diamond ring is a beautiful example of 1920s elegance, with geometric elements and milgrain edging, all characteristic of the style. It would look great worn alone or stacked with other rings from your collection.
We recommend you insure for £2,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
